The production and trade of wines, spirits and cavas has been a key element in shaping contemporary Catalonia. This book includes a set of completely unpublished works that have been carried out in recent years on the Catalan wine market and that, in their diversity, allow us to trace the evolution of the Catalan wine sector from the eighteenth century to the today, an evolution to which the historian Francesc Valls Junyent (1966-2017) devoted preferential attention and to which this publication wants to serve as a tribute.
